The Door of Our Thoughts When we allow our minds to dwell on negative thoughts like doubt, fear, or anger, we open the door to his influence. These negative thoughts can tempt us to sin and make us question God’s love and goodness. 2. The Door of Our Words Speaking negatively about others or using our words to hurt or offend gives the devil a foothold in our lives.
